In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The questline focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
